Below you will find all the information you need on how you can help us spread some festive cheer to the women and children we support this Christmas.
Domestic abuse doesn’t stop at Christmas
This season can be challenging for women and children fleeing abuse and violence, and seeking safety and support at The Haven. Many mothers worry about creating a memorable Christmas for their children during these difficult times.
Can YOU help us give the gift of Christmas?
Your support this Christmas will help us bring festive cheer to the families we support and create a magical holiday experience. Below are the ways you can get involved to make Christmas wishes come true this year.
How can you help?
Festive fun at work or at school
Spread the holiday cheer by hosting a Christmas jumper, pyjama or ugly sweater event at your workplace or at your school to raise funds for The Haven. Embrace the spirit of giving this holiday season by organising a festive event at your workplace in support of The Haven. Invite your colleagues to don their most festive sweaters and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
By participating you’ll not only spread cheer throughout your office but also contribute vital funds to The Haven, enabling us to continue providing essential services.
Participate before December 10 to DOUBLE your donations by donating through the Big Give matched funding campaign detailed below.
Honestly, I had written off Christmas this year as I just couldn’t afford to get anything for my children. When my key worker called me to tell me there were donations and I could come and collect some I was overwhelmed, I didn’t expect to walk in and find this, and be able to pick presents. It’s amazing, my kids will be so happy on Christmas Day now, thank you all so much.
I was wondering how I would make my children’s Christmas better after all the confusion of moving them from their family home. This made me feel even more sad, but due to the kind support I have received from The Haven. I was able to make my children’s Christmas wonderful.

I loved all the chocolate gifts, I had a selection box, chocolate coins and candy canes. My mom said not to eat them all.
I can’t believe you have done all this for us, I’m so grateful I could cry. I really wasn’t expecting all these presents, thank you all so much.
Donate to our Christmas appeal to help us purchase gifts, Christmas dinner and put on festive activities
Can you make a donation to give the women and children we support an enjoyable festive experience? For most of us Christmas is a joyful occasion where we spend time with our families. Sadly, for those fleeing from abuse and violence, it can be a difficult time. With your help we can make Christmas magical for the women and children we support. Donations to our Christmas appeal will help us purchase ingredients for Christmas meals as well as organise Christmas parties with lots of fun activities.

I only arrived at refuge three days before Christmas. I was wondering how I would make my children’s Christmas better after all the confusion of moving them from their family home – this made me feel even more sad. Due to the kindness and support I have received from The Haven and all the wonderful gifts, I was able to make my children’s Christmas wonderful. Thank you everyone, I will never forget this.
Thank You & Merry Christmas
Thank you so much for your support and kindness, and may we take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
