Are you an adrenaline junkie always looking for the next challenge? Well then WE NEED YOU!!
Join Team Haven for our Jump 50 Anniversary challenge event at Langar Airfield in Nottingham, in June 2023. You could be a part of a fantastic team taking on a challenge all to raise vital funds for women and children fleeing domestic abuse and homelessness.
You can feel the thrill of a 14,000ft freefall skydive, take in the glorious sights from way above, feel a full adrenaline rush as you reach a 120mph velocity before gently gliding to the ground under the parachute. Every penny raised will be helping to ensure more vulnerable women and children can flee to safety, and access the vital care and support services they need to rebuild their lives following the trauma of abuse.
2023 is our 50th Anniversary, and so, we wanted to plan a skydive challenge like no other – 50 skydivers for 50 years – one skydiver representing each year of The Haven’s vital lifeline, since 1973! We want YOU to be a part of our team!
All skydives include:
- A fully qualified parachuting instructor
- Training session before your jump
So whether you are an individual looking for a big bucket list tick, a group of friends looking for a fun day out, or a business looking for a team building activity – this could be the event for you!
Our skydive challenge is taking place over a weekend, so choose the date which suits you best when booking, (time-slots will be arranged closer to the jump date). For each skydive, there is a £30 registration fee (non-refundable) and you are committing to additionally raising a minimum of £395 in sponsorship (£100 must be raised within 4 weeks of signing up or your place may be released). IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please note:
- for tandem skydives there is a MAXIMUM WEIGHT (fully clothed) of 95 kg (15 stone) or 83 kg if you are less than 163cm (5ft 4in). This limit is in place for your own safety
- We are using a third party company for this event and so by signing up to take part, The Haven will need to share your personal details with the third party company. Only relevant details will be shared and you can read more about how we manage your data here.
Photography
Please note, we will be taking photos and videos at this event (ground based only). There will be a sign displayed during the event to state this. Photos and videos taken at the event may be used to promote the success of the event and may be shared with third parties (such as local media outlets) to promote future events too. If you do not wish to be included in photos/videos, please make yourself known to attending photographers, and to the relevant Haven staff member at any time during the event. On occasion, The Haven will use external photographers for events who own the official copyright of images. Photography agreements are in place with all photographers used at Haven events to minimise any misuse of imagery and ensure we are being transparent with how your photos are used in line with our GDPR policy. Additional options for photography and videography are available directly via the airfield – we will share further details on how to book this when you sign up. If you are happy to share any of your personal photos with us, please note, the above information will apply in terms of how we use them).
Covid safety note – Whilst not mandatory, we would encourage attendees to complete a lateral flow test to help us limit any risk of spreading covid_19.
